Don't be afraid!

Welcome to the Frankenstein Condition blog. A safe place to talk about monsters and things that go bump in the night. I am so happy that you have joined us here! As I wrote in my book “For most of us, life at some point will feel like a dark and stormy night. Maybe more nights than we would like to admit. In fact, sometimes, everything can seem dark with only fleeting moments of brightness quickly followed by more darkness. This is where we begin. The dark. Don’t worry, you’re not alone.”

There are so many of you out there in the dark not knowing where to turn for answers or at least someone who “gets it”. Well, I get it. Definitely. I’ve been there, done that and have the t-shirt. Like some of you, I was frustrated with the material and opinion available to me that dealt with depression and feeling less than expected. They were too clinical, written by doctors and didn’t have enough pictures. Or they were way too “up with people”, rainbows and unicorns (honestly, that is what you should be afraid of!) That made me angrier and want to retreat more. There was nothing that spoke to me. So, when you can’t find something you need, you make it, right? The Frankenstein Condition was my solution. As one reviewer put it “a rather irreverent take on self-help, from the creative mind of a man just trying to make sense of things.” Yep, that sums it up perfectly.

While we talk a lot about monsters here you don’t have to worry. These topics and posts are like fire to Frankenstein’s Monster, garlic to a vampire or Britney Spears to a metal head. So, check back as we dive into the many areas that can affect your mental state and hold you back from being your true self. It’s going to be great! Some of you might want to keep the lights on though… wait…did you hear that?
